It’s not everyday that the photographer gets to be in front of the camera. So a couple weekends ago, while away on a mini family vacation I was able to do some self portraits of my family and I. As crazy as my bunch is, we managed to get some decent shots. We were very pleased with the out come. I love my little family.

What a fun crazy family session this was. These kids are full of energy and so happy. You can tell they are well loved. It was a hot muggy evening but we made the best of it and I got a gallery full of amazing family moments. I hope you love them Ihnat family.

What a fun, crazy, handsome, little man Colton is. We had a blast!! It was hot and very muggy but we made the best of it. I was able to get so many great images of him. He ran, he jumped, and he explored. Can’t wait to see this little man and his Mama and Daddy at his next session.

What a sweet little family I had the pleasure to photograph a couple weeks ago. They had the most adorable smiley little guy. He was such a good baby, and we were able to get so many great shots. Marlee is beautiful inside and out and has the most amazing free spirited personality. Sometimes she acts like she's too old to model for me but after a few minutes she's all about it. She was also very excited about this backdrop. She's an American girl through and through, and loves all things patriotic.

I decided to take a little break from editing sessions to edit some images of my girls. Maddy was the first one I decided to edit. She's my little princess, she's sassy, gorgeous, and everything a girly girl is made of. Glitter, unicorns, and mermaids. She loves to model for me and I would be lying if I said I didn't adore that about her. She loves July 4th and was so excited about this backdrop.

I believe I have met my match. I thought it was impossible for any child to be more animated and have more personality than my older daughters. That was 100% incorrect lol. Maizley is that times 1000. She is wild and beautiful, crazy and adorable. She is the sweetest little thing but also so so sour lol. She's the child that reminds me I really do not want any more children lol. But I wouldn't have her any other way. Plus look at that ginger hair

Reagan

Sweet beautiful Reagan was a wonderful little model. She just went with the flow and she loved almost every minute of it. From the portrait part of her session to the cake and even the tub she had such a blast. My studio was filled with lots of giggles and silly faces. This beautiful girl has 3 wild brothers and from how laid back she was you would never know. I think this “sweet peach” set up was perfect for her in so many way, but most importantly look how beautiful she looks in this color pallet. Happy soon to be 1st birthday Reagon.

Brielle

I’m so excited to share this super patriotic one year cake smash session. Brielle wasn’t really a fan of the cake or the tub but she did a awesome job with her before cake pictures. I realize this sweet girl already turned 1 on the 4th of july but Happy Birthday to her anyway.

It’s never too late to celebrate an Independence birthday with a cake smash!! I love how this one came together. It’s so classic and patriotic.

I can’t believe this sweet funny girl is 3! I photographed her for the first time for her 1 year cake smash. She has changed and grown up so much since then. She is sassy, and silly, and full of spunk. I’m so glad I could create something to document her 3rd birthday. Happy Birthday beautiful girl.

I always have so many cake smashes on my schedule but what parents sometimes forget is the birthdays after that. I’m a firm believer that a child is at their best when they are able to feel free. Nothing is more beautiful than capturing a moment filled with 100% joy. Allow Mary Purdy Photography to document that for you. I don’t even know where to begin with this one. It seems like just yesterday Amelia’s mama contacted me about her cake smash session. I can not believe this little firecracker will be TWO!! This little rainbow girl is wild, and adventures, beautiful, and funny. I had so much fun with this little adorable girl and her parents. I couldn’t wait to edit and share her gallery. Happy Birthday Amelia, stay wild and crazy, you are perfect just the way you are.

Nala

I can’t believe this little beauty is 2 years old. When I photographed her for the very first time she was just a little sweet, brand new baby. With the sweetest little cry, and the most chubbiest little adorable cheeks. Now she’s so grown and time has just flew by. Happy Birthday Nala. I hope your day was at wonderful as you.

Emmett

What a handsome, smart, goofy little guy. Emmett did fantastic during his smash session. I could not have asked for a better smasher for my first session back due to Covid19. He was full of smiles and so much personality. He was not a huge fan of the cake however he still managed to make a little mess. I’m so glad I was able to design this set up. Its probably one of my favorite boy set ups so far. Happy Birthday Emmett, I hope you and your family stay well and happy.

Back at it!!

It’s been almost 4 very long months since I was able to shoot a cake smash session. To be honest I was unsure at how it would go. The emotions I was feeling were very mixed. I had missed my business and all the exciting things that came with it. But I was enjoying my children and spending all my time with them. I felt a little rusty artistically at first when I was creating this set up, but after a short period of time things just came to me like they always have. I made a lot of adjustments to my process due to COVID19 and I must say I’m loving the way things are going. I’m booking up fast which is remarkable considering the circumstances. I’m so excited to create more sessions and get back to what I love.

This set up reminds me of some of my most favorite things, and it was such an great theme to announce my reopening. Many of you have asked about mini sessions and at this time I am not establishing any mini events due to COVID19 guidelines. Wow this was fun set up. I’m so shocked that after all the years I have been in business I have never booked a Carnival Cake smash session. It was a blast designing and this little guy was full of personality. Happy Birthday Raphael.
